We often get asked the same questions so we decided to share them here, you may find the answer to your question here. If your question isn’t here, please don’t hesitate to ask us, reach out by clicking the “Lets Talk” button below.
We’re new to this, how does the process work?
When you contact us for a shoot, please provide us with as much information about your requirements as possible. We will then send you a quotation based on the work needed, we may ask you additional questions too. If you accept the quotation, you will then be required to make a payment to secure a booking. We then source locations and anything additional required for your project. Once the shoot has been completed, we will begin the editing & sorting process; from this we can send you some sneak peaks. We use any feedback you provide based on the previews for the remaining photos going forward.
Once editing has been completed, a the remaining 50% payment will be required if you haven’t already paid in full. We then send your photos to you via DropBox or Wetransfer.
How far in advance should we book a shoot?
Ideally we would prefer if you booked a shoot 2 weeks in advance of your proposed shoot date, 1 week in advance is acceptable as a preferred minimum. We unfortunately can’t guarantee our availability in less time than that.
How long will the photos take to complete?
This depends on the scale of the work required; for small projects, you can have your photos sent to you in as quickly as 3 days after the shoot day. For medium to large scale projects, you can expect to wait between 1 and 3 weeks, post shooting days for the photos to be completed.
These times are also affected by how busy we are with additional projects at that time.
How many photos will we receive?
This depends on the nature of the shoot but as a general rule of thumb, you can expect 15-20 photos per hour of shooting. We strongly believe in quality over quantity.
Will the final photos have watermarks on them?
No, anytime you pay for photos, there should never be any watermarks on them, sometimes if previews are sent, watermarks may be present.
We’re excited to see the photos, can you possibly send us a few sneak peaks?
We always try to get a few sneak peaks out to you within the same day of the shoot but sometimes we’re a little too busy and we can only send them a couple days later.
Do you include high resolution photos?
Yes, as standard we include the high resolution photos as well as web optimised versions of all your photos, the web optimised versions are good for websites, they maintain most of their quality whilst reducing their file size this helps them load faster and prevents your website from slowing down. They’re also good for posting on social media.
What if I’ve payed for the photos and I’m not 100% satisfied with the final photos?
Before receiving the final versions, we would have sent a few preview shots to ensure that you are happy with the direction that we are headed with your photos. However, if you are still not satisfied afterwards, we will happily make any alterations to the photos free of charge, however, you have to notify us of any changes that are needed within 7 days after we have delivered the photos to you. Please be aware, unfortunately we can only allow a maximum of 3 attempts per photo for any corrections. We will have to charge our standard retouching rate for any alterations required after this. So far to date, this has not been required.
Can you exclude an object or branding from a background of a photo?
Yes, often we can easily remove unwanted parts of photos seamlessly.
Can you change a colour to something else?
Most of the time, yes; although blacks & whites can sometimes be a challenge to achieve a realistic look.
Do you have a studio large enough to shoot a car?
At this stage of our business adventure, we don’t yet have our own studio however, we do have a couple of go-to studios that we find suitable to rent for automotive photography.
Do you have locations available for our project?
We try not to stick to the same locations as we prefer to not reuse old locations, we will more than likely source a suitable location that fits your project well, this can sometimes require more time leading up to a shoot whilst we arrange the appropriate permissions and permits.
Can you remove the background from our products?
We certainly can, however there are additional costs involved as it can be very time consuming.
Can we (the client) edit the photos or add filters?
We would prefer if you didn’t do this. We put a lot of effort & time, sometimes we can spend over an hour perfecting a single photo. We work on calibrated monitors to ensure the best colour and brightness accuracy, placing a filter or additional edits over our work can alter this. If you feel that additional edits are required, we will be more than happy to assist further.
